This year’s Whitmore Contracting Disc Golf Tournament at D.R. Disc Golf raised more than $3,000 towards the Brewer FCU’s Ending Hunger Campaign. The money raised will go directly to food cupboards in our local area working hard to help our neighbors and friends. On Saturday, September 24th, with bright skies and foliage at near peak, 21 teams with more than 65 people came out to play a round of disc golf at D.R. Disc Golf in Orrington, Maine, and to support the Ending Hunger Campaign. “This year was a great year to offer friends and families an opportunity to get outside, enjoy a round of disc golf while social distancing, and raise money for a very important cause. We were so pleased to see so many people and local businesses eager to support this effort.”, remarked David DeFroscia, President and CEO of Brewer Federal Credit Union.
